Cape Clear Software Releases Free WSDL Editor to Support Web Services Programming

[September 4, 2002] - CapeClear Software, a leading provider of Web Services technology, today released a free graphical WSDL Editor for programmers interested in working with Web Services. The Cape Clear WSDL Editor delivers the first complete environment for rapid Web Services Definition Language (WSDL) development. It supports novice programmers, while also providing sophisticated features for more experienced Web Services developers. The WSDL Editor includes powerful wizards that eliminate the complexity of WSDL, as well as WSDL validation, which simplifies testing, and support for the rapid creation of Web Services from XML Schema. See press release.

Is this what developers really need - simply the creating of WSDL? Or do they need more complex tools (like PolarLake - spot the plug) that can actually coordinate several service components (internal and external) to create a new process/service, at the same time managing quality of service and exceptions etc? Still, you can't argue about the price!

Do customers want to buy integration from their app server provider (eg IBM, BEA), from their ERP vendor (PeopleSoft, SAP), from their Database vendor (Oracle,Sybase and IBM again) or will they still want to buy from "independent" integration vendors like Tibco, Seebeyond and Mercator?
